A history of performance - through pictures, reviews and anything else we can find, please browse through our little scrapbook of shows and events that help shape the eclectic career of Leslie Carrara-Rudolph. Click the graphic or photo of each show, or its title, to see the reviews and/or scrapbook photos of that particular show...you know the routine by now....
In the early days, it all started at The Willow Theater Company. They were local productions starring young actors in the community, and good enough to be guests on "Romper Room" (see photo on page)!
Then, it was 13 years of The Fantasy Forum where Leslie's talent was honed playing everything from Dorothy, to Pinocchio, to Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer, to anything the storytellers and creators could come up with. For some fun older photos from the "early years", click the logo for the Fantasy Forum Actor's Ensemble (r.).
Leslie went on to join the ranks of regional theater with the
role of Maggie in
A
Chorus Line. Time was also spent working on skid row...well, not really, but
she did star as
Audrey in
Little Shop of Horrors working at
Mushnik's Skid Row Florist - helping
with the man eating plant.
Now, in between gigs there are always little distractions - but how about being part of a shoot of a bunch of women dressed like Marilyn Monroe at The Artichoke Festival? (TRIVIA ALERT: Marilyn was the very first Artichoke Queen.) Do you think you can pick Leslie out of the crowd? Try it. Click the real Marilyn photo (r.).:
Leslie was nominated again for a Shelly Award in
Pump Boys and Dinettes, before joining the company of one of the
longest running shows in San Francisco history,
Beach Blanket Babylon.
While in that company, she played Madonna to rave reviews, and as part of the

While being a performer for the big shows, Leslie also took root at the Newstage Family Playhouse and started her own kid's improv group! Saturday Live For Kids, was a great project that brought together community and the arts for weekly performances.
Another event worthy of note, is when then First Lady Hilary Clinton came to San Francisco for the Children's Day Forum. Her opening act? Only our own Leslie Carrara! Check out the evidence below:
Well after all that, where you gonna go?
Leslie went to Disney World! Not to play, but to work at Pleasure Island as part of the company that entertained nightly on the property. Talk about your character workshops! For a scrapbook of characters - click the here (DW Days).
